Surface Feast: A Collection of Local Artist Decorated Bowls

About this event

OVERLAP Art Space presents Surface Feast in tandem with Crowded Table . Surface Feast is an exhibition and online auction of ceramic bowls, designed and decorated by local artists, through a community initiative at OVERLAP. The two fundraising exhibitions were created in the spirit of giving back around the holidays. The proceeds from both will be split evenly between OVERLAP and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

In order to build both community and raise money, OVERLAP hosted local artists who generally work in other mediums, to learn about the potential of ceramics, underglaze and surface design. Through the guidance of Susie Matthews, each artist has designed a bowl to the exhibition that will be auctioned off. You will be able to view and bid on the bowls via Instagram @surface.feast (or by emailing admin@overlapartspace.org) starting Nov. 14. Bidding will close at 12 p.m. on 12/12.

Hours: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 12-4; Sundays 12-3

The opening reception will be November 14 from 2-4 p.m. Closing reception is December 19 from 2-4 p.m.
