  • Local Gulf War veterans will reunite to mark the 35th anniversary of service that saw coalition troops help liberate Kuwait— a Kuwaiti counselor will attend to recognize their contribution. Details on the time and location have not been released.  Warwick Online

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Verizon experienced a widespread outage that left many Rhode Island users with phones stuck in SOS mode yesterday. The company said engineers are working to restore service + fix the issue nationwide.  The Providence Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Warwick Public Schools presented an outline of their strategic plan for 2027 to 2029 and discussed student placement costs at Tuesday’s committee meeting. Officials said planning sessions started in September plus community focus groups are set to take place later this month.  Warwick Post

  • Warwick police will soon test a new technology to help the crisis intervention team respond to mental-health calls.  Warwick Online

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A builder has proposed 25 condos at two Warwick sites pending Wednesday night's Planning Board meeting plus other city approvals. The new condos could be on the market in less than two years if approvals are granted.  Warwick Online
  • Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty reported a record residential sale at 100 Briarcliff Ave on Warwick Neck for $3.5 million, the highest in town. The agent said the sale is a bargain compared with similar homes in the state.  Warwick Online
