- ➤ Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport said Monday it has reopened after closing Sunday night due to a snowstorm. Several RIPTA bus routes are on detour and Park and Ride service is canceled; travelers should check flight statuses with their airline. WJAR
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Plant City's Providence location will close on Feb. 8 after six and a half years due to fewer guests and traffic backups on Westbound Washington Bridge (owner Kim Anderson said employees received state labor training). The brand will continue in Warwick and Barrington. WJAR
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Fans braved cold conditions today to welcome the returning New England Patriots at TF Green Airport after winning the AFC Championship. Local fans cheered players like Drake Maye and coach Mike Vrabel (with extra flights added from Providence for Super Bowl travel). WJAR
- ➤ Matthew Chartier from Exeter West Greenwich earned Week 6 Longplex Athlete of the Week in boys basketball after receiving more than 56 percent of over 20,000 votes from local fans. The community's vote celebrated his standout play in last week’s games. The Providence Journal
