- ➤ Snow clearing equipment cleared the runways at T.F. Green Airport Tuesday after a historic blizzard grounded flights, but many departures and arrivals remained delayed on terminal boards. Travelers faced food shortages and snowy conditions on parked cars, with some return flights rescheduled for Thursday. WJAR
- ➤ After a heavy blizzard, Coventry firefighters reached an elderly man stranded on an unplowed driveway by placing him in his canoe — then pulling him to a point accessible by backhoe for hospital transport. He was taken in stable condition amid challenging snowy conditions. WJAR
