- ➤ A local legend in Coventry links Carbuncle Hill + Carbuncle Pond with a giant serpent that once guarded a glowing red gem. The myth explains garnet deposits in the area and has been passed down since the 1890s. The Providence Journal
- ➤ Gamm Theatre is presenting Henrik Ibsen’s Ghosts through March 22 at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard. Adapted by director Tony Estrella, the production has a 2+ hour runtime that explores human secrets and frailties. Warwick Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After a historic blizzard, students returned to class today in Warwick and West Warwick while cleared sidewalks remain at school buildings but many local neighborhoods still have buried sidewalks that force some children to walk on busy roads; city officials are focusing on outreach rather than issuing tickets. - ➤ Fans can vote for the Longplex MVP of boys hockey regular season from 10 players representing top seeds from two divisions. Voting will close Friday, March 6 at midnight via the official online ballot. The Providence Journal
