- ➤ Researchers at URI logged over 1,000 bobcat sightings since launching the study in September with many reports coming from Charlestown and South Kingstown, and the data will help guide land management as bobcat kittens are expected soon. The Providence Journal

- ➤ State leaders gathered at Roger Williams Medical Center Friday at 1:30 p.m. to announce Centurion Foundation’s purchase of Roger Williams and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital from Prospect Medical Holdings, which had faced bankruptcy and closure threats. - ➤ A Patriots plane normally parked at TF Green flew hundreds of Americans home from the Middle East on Friday as part of State Department charter flights amid an ongoing overseas conflict. The department said it has returned nearly 24,000 people since the mission began & officials noted similar past efforts. The Providence Journal

- ➤ Rhode Island fire officials advise families to check smoke alarms & carbon monoxide detectors when clocks change on Sunday, March 8 at 2 a.m. to keep homes safe, and they stress testing alarms and changing batteries regularly for early warnings in emergencies. The Providence Journal
