- ➤ 7-Eleven will close 645 underperforming stores across North America during its fiscal year ending Feb. 28 as it shifts toward a food-focused model amid softer consumer spending. The company plans to open 205 new outlets and has not confirmed whether any Rhode Island sites, including Warwick, will close. The Providence Journal
