- ➤ The Autism Project will hold its 23rd annual Imagine Walk to start Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month on April 27 at Goddard Park (at 9 a.m.) with about 6,000 people expected to join. The event will support community efforts to provide better autism services. Warwick Online
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Warwick police arrested four juvenile males on Tuesday night after an alleged knife attack outside Apple Cinemas on Bald Hill Road injured two adults at 11:49 p.m.; the suspects were ordered to a training school pending their Wednesday court appearance. ABC 6
- ➤ On Tuesday night, Warwick Police responded at 11:49 p.m. to a reported stabbing at Apple Cinemas on Bald Hill Road when four juveniles attacked three adults after being told to quiet down during a movie — the teens were turned over to a training school pending their Family Court appearance. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rhode Island lawmakers approved a universal Pre-K bill to offer publicly funded preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds and the measure now moves to the House for review. The plan uses a mixed-delivery model (including Head Start, public school districts, licensed centers and family child-care providers) to serve at least 70% of eligible children. Warwick Online

- ➤ Senior Samantha Sainristil from Cranston finished third in the shot at 11.79m, third in the hammer at 47.30m and fifth in the discus at 36.55m as her RIC women’s track team competed at Southern New Hampshire’s Ed Daniels Invitational on Monday.
