- ➤ A West Warwick bird rescue center is treating over 70 rescued parrots brought in late April from a hoarding incident in New Hampshire; four did not survive. The center is expanding its quarantine area while the remaining birds receive antibiotics+antifungal treatments. WJAR
- ➤ On Saturday, May 9, nonprofits hosted the first Dominick Ruggerio Day of Action at the Waterfire Arts Center in Providence to pack 50,000 meals for 12,000 families before Mother's Day, honoring the late state senator's legacy. WJAR
