- ➤ Governor Dan McKee issued a statewide drought advisory on Thursday, May 28 after months of dry conditions, urging residents and businesses to conserve water by hand watering gardens, fixing leaks, and using washing machines efficiently. WJAR
- ➤ Social Security benefits for June follow a normal schedule with SSI checks arriving on Monday, June 1 & retirement payments on June 10, June 17, and June 24. Over 241,000 Rhode Islanders are set to receive a 2.8% COLA from January in their monthly benefits. The Providence Journal
