- ➤ Secretary of Commerce Elizabeth Tanner resigned to lead nonprofit Ocean State 2026—an initiative aimed at helping Rhode Island profit from the upcoming World Cup matches. Her last day as Secretary of Commerce will be July 4, and Governor Dan McKee confirmed her new role. WJAR
- ➤ Rhode Island DMV warned residents on Tuesday about scam texts that falsely claimed fines, license suspensions or legal penalties to steal personal information — officials urged Rhode Islanders not to click on any links and to report suspicious texts to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center and FTC.
