- ➤ Taylor Swift may not have a party today in Watch Hill because her home is being fixed and she is traveling with Travis Kelce—she hosted fun July 4 parties in the past but has not confirmed any plans for this year. The Providence Journal
- ➤ Providence Rink is hosting themed Roller Disco nights with live DJs, skate rentals, family skate days and learn-to-skate workshops until October 31. The rink will also hold adult sports leagues playing volleyball, dodgeball and pickleball on select Monday through Wednesday evenings — offering varied ways for the community to stay active. - ➤ Governor Dan McKee appointed Jim Bennett as interim Commerce Secretary today. Bennett, a one-time GOP candidate & president of the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, replaces Elizabeth Tanner who is leaving to lead a nonprofit promoting the 2026 World Cup. The Providence Journal
