CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Filming is underway for 'The Real Housewives of Rhode Island' as social media posts show sightings across the state including a beach party at Goddard State Park in Warwick—sparking doubts about some scenes. Executive Producer Andy Cohen said the cast is very Italian and has unique ties that may surprise viewers. The Providence Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, the Warwick City Council approved new vehicles for DPW and police and renewed a two-year Flock contract to operate 11 license plate cameras. The council also approved vehicle purchase bids, a resolution to adjust OPEB trust contributions, and rule changes to set meetings at 6:30 p.m.—decisions that will affect future city operations. - ➤ The TSA is testing a new screening process at T.F. Green that lets passengers keep their shoes on—officials say the change aims to speed up lines. The pilot program is one of several tests to see if the rule will make security faster at other airports. WJAR
