Rhode Island DEM is addressing the spread of spotted lanternflies, an invasive pest that threatens local orchards and vineyards, and instructing residents to squish them near transportation hubs + RIDEM will hold a workshop on Wednesday at Cumberland Public Library to guide residents on removing egg masses from trees and furniture.

The city will hold a forum to discuss planned improvements at Pawtuxet Park, home to the iconic gazebo + historic Aspray Boat House.

Rhode Island will restart the cannabis licensing lottery soon if Judge Melissa DuBose dissolves the injunction, with the Cannabis Control Commission planning to recertify social equity applicants after the state revised residency requirements.
