GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal judge ruled Friday that Rhode Island’s law requiring residents to show a need to carry a gun openly did not break the Second Amendment—this ruling dismissed a 2023 lawsuit by gun owners who sought unrestricted permits. Attorney General Peter Neronha supported the decision, saying the state’s permit system follows longstanding rules. WJAR
