- ➤ BBBSRI is hosting a clothing donation event on Saturday, September 6 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM where a live NOW 93.3 broadcast will feature prizes, giveaways, and a $250 Warwick Mall gift card drawing—participants can drop off unwanted clothing and linens in the designated Donation Truck parking lot—and the event will help support youth and families across Rhode Island. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Three Rhode Island men, including Warwick’s Paul Lemon, pleaded guilty to burglary charges in Massachusetts for a scheme that led to 43 break-ins—where Wi-Fi jammers were used to steal jewelry, cash, and valuables from homes of Indian and South Asian families. WJAR

- ➤ Devon Allman — son of Gregg Allman — is set to perform at The Park Theatre in Cranston on August 21 at 8 p.m. in support of his new album 'The Blues Summit', which was released on July 25 via Ruf Records. Johnston SunRise
- ➤ On August 13, the 57th annual Washington County Fair opened in Richmond, featuring a goat milking contest where Warwick's Kennedy Hunter finished first—along with livestock shows and tractor pulls. The Providence Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ NOAA Fisheries said recreational bluefin tuna fishing is closed until December 31 due to reaching its quota, and the rule applies to all sizes caught near local beaches—commercial fishing remains open.
