ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 29-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Toll Gate Road at 9 a.m. Saturday when his motorcycle hit the rear of a car turning into a parking lot—police are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 401-468-4200. ABC 6
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police in Rhode Island responded to two swatting calls on August 30—one on Winsome Drive in North Kingstown at 5 p.m. that showed no public danger and a second on Cliff Road in Warwick at 3 p.m. where a claim of shots fired and a hostage was later found false and is under investigation. ABC 6
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rhode Island law allows parking in front of a house on a public street but does not permit parking in front of driveways or in areas such as highways, sidewalks, and near fire hydrants — rules that can lead to a vehicle being removed if deemed abandoned, unattended, or of no value.
