- ➤ On Sept. 6, Warwick firefighters battled a Conimicut fire that razed Tiger Eye Gift Shop and seriously damaged Kent Electric—no severe injuries were reported as staff later asked the community to help locate a missing cat. Warwick Post
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Andrew McCann from Westerly won the Surftown Half Marathon for the third time as the course ran along the coast through Watch Hill and Weekapaug—Bethany Sachtleben from Miami won the women's race. The event sold out with over 1,900 registrants and supported the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. WJAR
