- ➤ Three churches in West Warwick merged when Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish and Saints Peter and Paul Parish combined into St. Joseph Parish, and two churches in Providence merged as Saint Agnes Parish joined Saint Ann Parish after the Diocese approved the plans. Parishioners learned of the changes during Sunday Mass — proposals for merging Pawtucket churches remain under review. WJAR
