- ➤ At Warwick’s Gamm Theatre, Terrence McNally’s play 'Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune' is showing through Nov. 30—featuring veteran actors Liliane Klein as Frankie and Anthony Goes as Johnny—offering an emotional look at two middle-aged people seeking a deeper connection. Warwick Online

- ➤ At Bain Middle School on Monday night, the school committee honored Mary Hopkins, a beloved math teacher who died in December 2019 after battling cancer, by issuing a special citation & dedicating a student wellness room in her name. - ➤ Revity Energy has revised its Natick Ave solar project by moving the access road and centralizing equipment to increase the buffer from neighbors, and the plan has returned to the City Plan Commission for preliminary approval. A public meeting at City Hall is scheduled for Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m.—residents are set to offer comments on the changes. Cranston Herald
- ➤ The Rhode Island Pilots Association presented $20 gift cards to unpaid air traffic controllers on Tuesday evening—135 donors helped raise funds for 39 controllers who worked without pay for more than a month, with some taking extra jobs to support their families. The gift cards were given during the association’s monthly meeting in Warwick. WJAR
- ➤ A nurses union called on Governor Dan McKee and the state HHS department to stop interfering with a pending deal to keep three local healthcare facilities open – Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center and Prospect Home Health and Hospice. The union held a press conference on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and demanded that the CharterCARE Foundation turn over $6 million in charitable assets to support the effort. - ➤ Johnston football's Panthers beat North Providence 28 to 14 in the Division III quarterfinal game last week to earn a chance to face top-seeded Classical for a trip to the Super Bowl. Freshman quarterback Ethan Archambeault led the team and receiver Yadier Grullon caught key passes—head coach Joe Acciardo said they will work on mistakes before the next playoff game. - ➤ Over the past two weekends, Rhode Island high schools crowned champions in most fall sports with strong wins in cross country, tennis, and field hockey—football stays in semifinal play later this week.
