- ➤ The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced Thursday that nine cats rescued from a hoarding situation are available for adoption at its shelter at 155 Plan Way in Warwick. Open adoption hours are held today from noon to 4 p.m.—each cat has received full health checks, vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and other necessary treatments. ABC 6

- ➤ Frankie and Johnny In The Clair De Lune is playing at the Gamm Theatre in Warwick with strong roles by Liliane Klein and Anthony Goes. The show will run until Nov. 30 at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard—offering a raw look at love and its challenges. Warwick Post

- ➤ Today is Veterans Day, a federal holiday to honor military service, so Warwick City Hall and school offices are closed while trash and recycling pickups are delayed and local transit offers holiday routes with fare waivers for veterans.
