Providence Journal is inviting Rhode Island residents to share details and photos of their holiday light displays for a 2025 map—submissions should include location, number of lights, and display hours.

Warwick (founded in 1642) tells a story of rich local history with sites like Rocky Point State Park and Clouds Hill Victorian House Museum and holds Gaspee Days each May and June to mark the burning of the Gaspee in 1772.

The city, once a major textile center and summer retreat for wealthy families, now offers 39 miles of coastline and several parks for residents to enjoy.

The Rhode Island Department of Revenue said decorating cars with Christmas lights is illegal (because the lights can distract drivers) and other holiday car decorations are allowed if they do not block the license plate or windows (and must be securely fastened).
